Friends! It’s been so long! So sorry for the lack of correspondence lately. It’s been a busy weekend/ start to the week. While the tall Hub’s been shooting hoops, I’ve been keeping him well-fed and sewing up a storm. I FINALLY made a pattern for some sweet little smock-style dresses for those precious little baby girls running around our world these days…and I must say, I heart them big time. The snow outside is completely caddywhompis today, so I wasn’t about to ride my bike downtown…but I do need to purchase some snaps for the backs of the dresses, so I’ll have to weather the storm eventually. Until then, here’s a sneak peek (tell me what you think!)…
So cute, right?! The brown one was made from vintage fabric and the turquoise one is a fabulous Amy Butler design. Love her! I ordered some other fabrics before Christmas, so those will be making an appearance (along with these two) in my Etsy shop soon!
Here’s a little snapshot of what else I’ve been up to…
(+ I completed lesson 1 & 2 of my online photo class! I’m feeling smarter already) What have you all been staying busy with?? I wanna hear it! Hope you’re having a great week! xo

I’ve been work work working, taking care of The Boy, reading, going to book club, and preparing for an ice storm that is predicted to destroy the power grid of northeastern Oklahoma in the next couple of days. Le sigh… if I disappear, you know why.
I think the dress is cute– especially with some little leggings! If only I had a girl…
I was going to ask if these were of Amy Butler fabric; I had discovered her fabric a year ago. I think all of her designs are so beautiful! I love the simple little dresses you’ve created with it! And what type of snaps? Silver flower ones?
you’re right, amy has some gorgeous prints. love all of her stuff! i bought 2 of her books with patterns that i hope to bust out pretty soon, but right now i’m trying my hand at some simple stuff…which i actually prefer sometimes. making those little wee smocks is so fun. the snaps are just ordinary ones that i hand-sewed on…not the ones i was looking for originally though. but i found some new ones so i hope to put those on the dresses i make to sell – this one i gave as a gift to my goddaughter
anyhoo, thanks for the kudos/comment
